Be Your Own Sanctuary
What does it mean to “Be your own sanctuary”?
Being your own sanctuary means taking back your sense of internal safety, strength, and stability. It is the ability to feel safe and secure in yourself, without having to rely on others or wait for life to slow down and get easier.
In our work together, you will learn how to regain control of yourself and make a choice when you are overwhelmed, rather than reacting in ways that lead to shame and regret.
Through internal security, we can have healthier, happier, and more fulfilling relationships with others and ourselves. Past experiences will no longer control your emotions or behaviors. Instead, those experiences can be processed, understood, and put in a space where they no longer hold power over you.
In therapy, we can find your center again. You can take your power back and be your own sanctuary, no matter where you are or what is happening. I want to empower my clients and help them find their confidence again after trauma, pain, or just life in general.
You can be your own calm in the storm.
